Student Programming

Since 20010 JazzClubsNW has sponsored more than 900 professsionally hosted workshops and jam sessions, and more than 100 Mentorship Big Band nights with our "Pro-Am Big Bands." JazzClubsNW is committed to helping students through the support of various programs, including:

• Ongoing recurring exposure to live performance of Jazz music.
• Free Student Membership and Online access to 1000's of recorded shows. 
• Small-ensemble workshop programs and combo classes.
• Support of clinics and teaching forums with professional artists.
• Performance opportunities with professionals.
• Recording opportunities and assistance with creating demo recordings.
• Access to professional musicians in a family-friendly environment.
• Participation in regional Jazz festivals, like the North Bend Jazz Walk and Edmonds Jazz Walk 

Music and music performance is very important to us and we are excited to support these and other programs to come. ​

JazzClubsNW Student Jam Sessions--

Each one of our jam sessions is hosted by local professional musicians who are committed to helping students have a great positive, learning experience! There is no fee for students to participate in these following recurring jam sessions.

Boxley's Jam Sessions (North Bend)

Join us every Thursday at Boxleys in North Bend!

6pm - Middle School Workshop and Jam
7pm - High School Jam Session. (Note: The 3rd Thursday of the Month is Boxleys Pro-Am, See below for details.)

Crossroads Mall Jam Session (Bellevue)

Join us at Crossroads Mall on the Main Stage, the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month! 6pm to 8pm!

Romeo's Jam Session (Edmonds)

Romeo's Pizza in Edmonds, schedule varies, but usually the 3rd Thursday of each month at 3pm and the 4th Wednesday at 6pm.

JazzClubsNW Big Bands--
Hosted by Jazz Professionals

In addition to Jam Sessions, we also support to Big Band nights a month where students can play with professionals in a reading band. Check our Monthly Jazz Calendar to ensure that there are no schedule changes.

Boxleys Pro-Am Big Band (North Bend)

Every 3rd Thursday of the Month - All Year Long - Downbeat at 7:30 PM Pros, Students, and Amateurs join together to romp their way through big band classics like Count Basie and Terry Gibbs, along with fresh compositions and arrangements. The Pro-Am Big Band every third Thursday of the month!

Edmonds Big Band Night (Downtown Edmonds)

Every 3rd Thursday of the Month - Downbeat at 6:30 PM Featuring Jake Bergevin and the Jazz Punishments Big Band. Plus, select Amateur instrumentalists invited to play and sight-read with the professional players in a combined Pro-Am Big Band.
